Refundable Damage/Cleaning Security deposit will be refunded after departure as long as guidelines in our rental agreement are followed.
* Please note this cabin allows a maximum of 2 dogs. The Pet fee when pet is selected charges for only 1 pet. Please let us know if you will be bringing more than one pet, up to 2 pets is allowed for a $15.00 fee/pet/night. This extra fee will be added upon request before or after booking.

- Please contact us if you plan to have more vehicles to discuss extra vehicle parking
- Please ensure that your vehicle(s) are parked at the cabin you are staying at, and be kind to not park in front of another cabin's view of the beach/water if possible.
- REMEMBER: Our Cabins are on the beach, and some areas of our lot are sandy and can sometimes make it difficult for small or lower cars to park in some locations. If you have any concerns or difficulty upon arrival, please contact us for assistance.

Refunds (less a $25 cancellation fee per cabin) are only able to be issued in the case that the cabin can be rebooked for the duration of your cancelled reservation.
You will be held financially responsible for 100% of your reservation if you cancel at any time.

Summary: The cabin was great and very close to Tawas Point State Park. Everything was very clean. However, apparently May is they're preseason so there was little if any housekeeping. We had to make and strip the bed, were expected to wipe down bathrooms, sweep floors, etc. Not a big deal but there's always the threat that extra charges might be added.

Summary: Was not lighted very well. Was hard to find which cabin was yours. Wasnt told beforehand that a regular car would probably get stuck. Good thing we had a 4 wheel drive truck. Was a beautiful cabin. Have rented many cabins and houses over the years and have never had one that did not supply extra garbage bags, toilet paper, paper towels. Even though i always clean up after renting i have never been told i had to vacuum, sweep and wipe down sinks, etc.

Summary: Everything was A-1! Spotless, large living area with comfy bed, large TV, nice couch, great kitchen/dining area & lovely bathrooms. Spacious areas between cabins are nice for privacy. We sat in the wonderful deck chairs to watch the gorgeous sunsets over the lake. BIG plus that it’s pet friendly! The beautiful State Park with a lighthouse (& another dog-friendly beach!) is within walking distance. Biking trails in East Tawas are second to none. We wanted to stay longer; we wish we lived here.

Summary: Great accomodations for my brother and sister inlaw as well as my wife and I. Our dogs also loved it! The sunsets were absolutely gorgeous. When we were there in early October we were the only renters and it was very peaceful. We would highly recommend staying at the Hickory cottage. Thank you very much for the wonderful accommodations.
